InstantDoctor connects patients with independently practising, appropriately registered medical professionals for non-emergency online consultations.

Not an emergency service

Do not use InstantDoctor for severe breathing difficulty, chest pain, loss of consciousness, major trauma, uncontrolled bleeding, or another emergency. Call 112 or seek immediate in-person care.

Clinical suitability

A doctor may decide that an online consultation is not clinically appropriate and may recommend examination, testing, emergency care, or another in-person service. Prescriptions and medical certificates are never guaranteed.

Payments

The standard patient consultation fee is R200 unless a different price is clearly shown before payment. Card payments are handled by Paystack. Refund decisions take account of whether a clinical consultation has begun.

Professional participation

Doctors must maintain valid HPCSA registration, provide accurate verification information, practise within their competence, keep appropriate clinical records, and comply with applicable professional rules.
